2021 Honda Ridgeline vs 2020 Honda Ridgeline

Serving Elyria, OH

The Ridgeline rolls the reliability and innovation drivers love about the Honda line into a midsize truck model. In 2017, the Ridgeline’s second generation made a grand debut with a modernized style and other exciting updates. Now that you are preparing to head home in a new Honda truck, you need to know what the 2020 and 2021 Ridgeline versions offer. While they are both mid-generation versions, the latest model year displays several updates.

Performance

There are many differences between the 2020 and 2021 Ridgeline, but these do not touch the truck’s capabilities. For 2020 and 2021, this midsize Honda truck receives 280 horsepower from a V6, 3.5-liter engine. Additional performance capabilities are delivered by a nine-speed auto transmission and all-wheel drive in all trims for both model years.

Appearance

When you compare the exterior style of the 2020 Ridgeline to the 2021 version’s exterior, you will notice no changes to the middle and rear sections. However, the front end has been completely revamped for 2021. The level personality line now trends clearly to the nose. The nose is flatter and edgier. This is combined with a redesigned grille to set off the 2021 Ridgeline’s style with bold results. For 2021, the Ridgeline is available with a Honda Performance Development Appearance package for the first time. This package adds gold-accented wheels, exceptional graphics, and reshaped fenders.

Features

The updates to the Ridgeline’s interior are more subtle. The most notable of the updates is a new infotainment system. While the display screen is the same size, the system has improved graphics and a rotary knob for the sound system’s volume controls. On the 2021 Ridgeline Sport, cloth seat inserts are now standard. On the Sport, RTL, and RTL-E trims, you will find modest updates to the steering wheel, stitching and center console features.
